Southwest Airlines Drops Commission on Airline Bookings
Southwest Airlines will no longer pay commissions to travel agencies effective Dec. 15, 2003. Southwest Airlines Vacations, however, announced it will maintain its current commission structure: 10% on bulk air packages booked electronically; 10% on the land portion and 5% on the air portion of published fare vacation packages booked electronically; 5% on bookings made through Southwest Airlines Vacations’ call center.
